We were made to feel like we were family at the Comfort Inn.
I always stay at this hotel when I’m in Gander as it is always spotless, comfortable, and the staff are second to none.
This was a sad visit for us as my mother-in-law had passed away and we stayed here to attend her wake and funeral. I contacted the manager, Karen Mills, to ask if there was any possibility of an early check-in as we hoped to get dressed for the wake at noon when we arrived in town.
Karen took such beautiful care of us, she accommodated our request no problem, and her staff were extremely lovely to us as well. They checked in on us, and made sure we were comfortable and had all we needed – including the space to grieve and catch our breath.
One thing that struck us about our experience here was the vibe in the hotel. Every person we encountered was friendly and helpful and seemed like they really liked working there. I think that must be a sign that it is a very good place to work. Unhappy people don’t connect with guests in that way!
We didn’t have family to stay with on this visit and that can be a lonely feeling. It really helped us that we were made to feel like we were family at the Comfort Inn. They all knew our circumstance and were just so wonderful to us.

Just lovely!
From the minute we walked in, this place just oozed friendliness and welcome. Nothing was too much trouble for the desk staff and the manager…Breakfast was excellent…the hot choice changed daily and the ladies in there were just as friendly and welcoming as all the other staff. We would certainly choose this hotel again. Thanks so much all of you.

“This is our second stay at this hotel. We stayed there last summer as well. This hotel is very clean, nice comfortable beds and awesome staff!! Both times we had a first floor room with outside access from our room (which we love). The complimentary breakfast is great and we even remembered the girl who served us from last year!! We would highly recommend this hotel!!

Great hotel for the area
“Room was clean, beds comfy! Super quiet too given the side we stayed on had a drive thru for Mary Browns and being on the highway and all! They did have breakfast and you filled out a card with what you wanted in advance and staff got it ready for you (even hot options like eggs, bacon and home made breakfast sandwiches). The ladies were super sweet and efficient given it was busy – so organized, great way to do it! Would stay here again and recommend to anyone in the area.”

“I arrived late around 12:30 am, the fellow at reception was very friendly and helpful, lots of parking. Complimentary breakfast in the morning. The room was quiet, nice big comfy Bed with lots of pillows. Good wifi, a nice easy place to sleep for a few hours on my drive to St John’s.”
